Front Page Quarterly Update

Mar 31st, 2016

It has been a very busy start to 2016 here at Front Page HQ and as a regular feature, we are keen to update all our dedicated readers with what we’ve been up to throughout the year. So look out for this quarterly update highlighting the body of work we’ve been producing every few months.

An integrated agency hard at work…

As winter was battering us with storms, the start of the year was dominated with campaigns for some of our key travel clients. With all that wind and snow, we all love to dream about our summer holidays. So the travel industry runs major campaigns over Christmas and into January, and we worked hand-in-hand to help deliver highly effective creative and digital solutions to take full advantage of this busy booking period.

Our key offering – ‘making brands work better everywhere’ – was on full display in the beginning of the year as the campaigns rolled out across multiple channels.

The customer experience was at the heart of our activity as we were tasked to bring to life the offers.

We completed a major UX redesign of one of our major travel client’s home page just before Christmas and have been extremely happy with the result, from both a user experience and commercial perspective.

Likewise, the creative of several of our campaigns have had a positive impact for our travel clients. (I suppose we can’t claim all the credit, but our focus on targeted and effective creative solutions helped to deliver some very successful turn of year campaigns.)

But wait, there’s more…

We’ve also been working with a new client, TCB Media producing a sizzle video showcasing their latest projects.

CLIA (Cruise Line International Association) has been very busy the last few months as we have helped them launch new websites and e-learning programmes for the French and Spanish markets. Qué Bueno!

Just before Christmas we launched the World Badminton Champion website for Glasgow Life and are looking forward to continuing that development over the next year until the championships in August 2017. Watch this space!

The Poster Project has had some very exciting developments this year. They spoke about the club at Jam Hot’s Gab to help promote the upcoming exhibition at South Block, from 20 May – 8 July!  The designers who have been creating these brilliant posters over the past couple years are very excited to show off their creative talents.

A few of us have been out and about at conferences, including the Learning Technologies Conference in London. High on the agenda was mobile learning and collaboration tools. A talk from Charles Jennings, about the `’70/20/10 rule’ for staff learning and development (70% through experience, 20% from others, 10% formalised training) was especially interesting – highlighting the need for more decentralised and flexible learning platforms.

We also attended an E-consultancy conference where programmability in marketing was the theme of the day. In essence, programmatic marketing is a way to deliver a personalised and relevant marketing at scale by automating ad trading and production. How we can deliver focused, on-brand creative in a future world of programmatic marketing has been a discussion point around the water cooler (Or via iChat, really. We don’t actually have a water cooler).

Invest Glasgow required new brochures and investment guides for their expo at MIPIM in Cannes  in March. As this is being written they are on their way to the conference to help bring inward investment to Glasgow.

We began a major UX project with Investors in People before the new year and have moved on to the content planning and design of their new web site.

And there have been some exciting changes within our team. Andrew Nicolson became a dad for the second time with the birth of baby Isla and our Gillian also had a baby girl named Chloe. Angela McInnes has joined us as an E-learning Content Producer and Daniel McAteer, who had been with us as a Developer Intern since August, impressed us so much, we just had to keep him full-time.

So it is all very exciting and we are looking forward to a very busy spring with new campaigns in the pipeline and some exciting new clients coming on board.
